Someone i know (not me!) who has their own insurance on their own vehicle but is required to drive short distances for work and these distances are insured by the company she works for (on some sort of group policy for employees)

This person was crashed into by a lady driver a few months back whilst driving round a roundabout. This lady apologised profusely saying she doesn't normally go this way however her insurance company is since disputing fault (lol) although the car has been repaired etc

Anyway, i digress, as my friend's personal insurance is now due, do they have to declare the accident and if so, is it likely to drastically affect the renewal (even though this person has umpteen years no claims and their no claims is not in jeopardy)

TIA
