Consumer Rights Act 2015

Those of you who have studied up on the legislation that governs the sale of goods and other aspects of the law affecting consumer purchases of goods and services may wish to have a shuftie at the Consumer Rights Act 2015. The Act introduces various new provisions and makes amendments and repeals to various extant Acts and Regulations, including the Unfair Contract Terms Act 1977, the Sale of Goods Act 1979, the Supply of Goods and Services Act 1982, and other instruments not listed here.
NB, the Government website will take some time to display amended versions of primary legislation (Acts), and usually displays un-amended versions of secondary legislation (Regulations, Orders in Council, etc). Subscription services such as Westlaw quickly display amended versions of primary and secondary legislation. Much commentary on consumer law websites (much of which is inaccurate anyway) will be out of date. Note carefully the effect of transitional provisions.
No more from me on this subject, as I have given up posting here, and in any event am busy with various life events, but those of you who are into this sort of thing, fill yer boots! Those who have the bloke in pub edition of "That law shiz is well easy innit" can continue referring to now repealed or amended provisions for ages yet to come, in the usual way.

Derek, I made no suggestion of any kind about the Act's contents. I merely drew attention to its existence. Anyway, having achieved the twin mission goals of providing a heads up to people interested in such things, and winding up the hilariously easy to wind up Purple Moonlight, I really am out of here now.
