So it's hell here, as I type I'm just back from work after another 70 hour week and I don't think I'm going to sleep, again!

The local chavs seem to have acquired a quad bike and are currently doughnuting it on the green next to my flat, they didn't stop doing the same till gone 1am last night. It's a change as normally it's a stolen motorbike or 3, mine was nicked a few months back...

Thing is I even had a PCSO here yesterday, giving me FOC smartwater, they were doing it outside then, on the grass! she looks and just said "I'd not want to live here..." No calling anybody, nothing, just accepting of it. If I call it in nothing seems to get done either...

The thing is the one out there now has no number plates, likely not insured, likely nicked and they just seem to accept it, saying that the chav's don't care and just goad them so they in effect leave them to it! If I was acting like that I'd be nicked on the spot, too easy....

Thankfully I've sold and will be out in a few weeks, think I've just broken myself and need a vent...is there any way to get them to actually take some action?

The green is council property, a park, intersected by some roads but has a kids playing area, football pitches etc.

No helmets, never are, whether motorbike or quad

Thing is the police watch it, they've been here whilst it's happening and do nothing. If they do ever come they just ride away and the ones on the bench/in the street just abuse them/throw things/smash things...again in full view.

Postcode is BR5 2 - you should see a green crescent on google maps - it's now cross-crossed with churned mud tracks. I would take a photo but it's too dark.

MP is either Bob Neil or Jo Johnson, no idea on councillors but need to check...

They're still here and at it too...

Hello,

I'm sympathetic and glad you're getting out!

I live a few miles away but it has to be said that is a notoriously ropey area and it's no new thing. That doesn't excuse the scrotish behaviour but it's not like you didn't view the property before moving in.
True, did but it was all that I could afford at the time. Thing is I lived with the parents about 1/2 mile away (off knoll rise if you know it) and visited daily for weeks at various times without anything untoward, that and all my other research saying that the other side of the railway/bypass was far worse.

Needless to say the new place is the opposite, nicer area, worst place in best area (currently opposite), it's even a private unmade road!

Can't wait to get some sleep finally!

Thanks all, felling a bit better today (silverstone probably helped!)

The green is a mess, been chatting to people and need to remind myself that it's just a few more weeks...

Thankfully the new place is far better, going to beckenham, between the junction station and shortlands on the quiet side, even on an unmade private road so no road noise either, no shops or parks either which is a result

Nice, I lived in Beckenham for 8 years (on The Avenue & Albemarle Rd so probably quite close to where you are going). Good travel links and some nice restaurants etc. Don't leave your car parked on Albemarle Road on a Friday night though!
The place is on the Avenue, although it needs a little work it'll be brilliant when done - 2 off-road spaces and a garage!

You mention you've sold your house - did you declare the issues you are having? I'd be mindful of anything traceable with the police unless you've put it in your sellers pack as you don't want them coming after you if they start having issues.
Never been asked the question - buyers are friends with a neighbor and know the area well...

Well whoever granted the shop a license to sell fireworks needs shooting

As that's what they're now doing, via the tube on their shoulder...

Entry buzzer on silent so the trick or treaters (just take or smash stuff up around here) can't get in and we're not disturbed.

The mortgage offer came through nonetheless so the time here is now limited, thankfully!!!
