Kent have apparently been using one , Central Motorways lot use one .
I would imagine that these vehicles are loaned to the police as they cost a fortune to buy.
Have the speed limiters been re-set?
Any other areas using them ?

If the article photos were correct kent used a 65 plate white DAF unit with NPCC on the front and Blue lights hidden in the front grill .
They used it for a week on the M20 and nicked 57 truckers .
All the regular offences inc phones, lack of control ,lanes etc.
Given the number of trucks on this road over a 1 week period its not that high a number is it .

The trucks are only used for spotting and filming , they don't actually stop anybody , that is done by following marked units .

I would imagine the bean counters would shudder at £100k plus for each unit .Add in trianing and it makes sense to share equipment across several forces.
