Reading an article on why you shouldn't feed your pet raw food I found this in the conclusion.

article said:
Apart from my conscience, I would also be concerned about the legal implications if a member of the public contracted a serious infection, or even died, as a result of increased exposure to risk from raw foods or pets fed raw foods after my recommendation.
She's implying that a pet feed on a raw diet could pass salmonella onto human. Is there a legal case here or is this just misinformed rubbish?

Billions of cats and d
Dogs have survived until the last what, 40 years, without "pet food".

Now however there is a lot of money at stake, so the "oooh you and your pet will die if you fee raw" approach has kicked in.

Consider whether people ever handle raw food which they then cook to eat.... Same concept. You wash your hands, it really is not rocket science.
Its not a discussion about if feeding raw is good or not. I feed mine raw. I just want to know if there is any substance in the quoted sentence.
