Good Morning Gents

Wondering if anyone can point me in the right location to find the definitive requirements(laws)related to the actual markings and signage legally required to enforce no parking restrictions

Basically my son parked in a side road near his office which he has done several times (without any problems), however he has now received PCN as the photos clearly show there are signs in place that indicate that there are timed restrictions, however there are no actual road marking that indicate where the restriction actually applies

I have contested the fine and been told that he is still liable to pay penalty despite me asking for clarification regarding the need for clear and visible lines

Any help would be much appreciated

Cheers

I count six signs in your picture telling people not to park in front of the entrance...
He wasn't parked in front of any entrance

IIRC, a restricted zone doesn't require lines.
am I not right in thinking that the road markings are required to indicate where the restriction starts and stops, otherwise the restriction in theory is endless

Son has paid fine, it was never about not paying, just trying to establish if the council had met the basic requirements for enforcing the law

However love the idea of a damage claim biglaugh
