Hi just need some advice again,

had a rear end shunt the other day. exchanged details, managed to get details off witness, off we went, no police was called.

But now coming to think of it, there is no way in hell the back driver didn't see the line of stationary cars. were they on the phone?eating?

Is it possible to report the other party to the police for driving without due care or something, as i didn't call them at the scene at the time.(stupid i know).

If you've exchanged details, then no report will be taken by the Police. You can argue the other point with your insurance company, but without any proof, it's not going to matter. They went into the back of you? so you're not at fault anyway and they'll pay out. Then theres the whiplash you have wink

It bugs me when we get sent to the most minor of accidents and the people in the front car, are all crying whiplash. They then get an ambulance, Police and sometimes fire brigade, all costing money, just so they can get a payout. I wish people would realise, you don't need the emergency services there at the time to get your money!

Stop wasting time and money (not aimed at the OP, just a rant)

The last one we had, he'd been walking around for ages, then when we arrived, he suddenly couldn't move because of his neck injury. Shame he had bald tyres and no MOT, should have just exchanged details and gone
No i don't have whiplash, but the accident claims are already ramming personal injury forms down my throat yet haven't even begun repairing my car yet. WTF.
