I've just been reading about the Hillsborough inquest:

http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-36128693

The jury have been there for 2 years.

Three questions:

Do they get any better monetary remuneration than someone who does a one week trial in a criminal court?

How do their employers cope, do they get any help?

Do they get any help with remembering all the evidence?

Odds of getting selected for jury service:

http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/p03s4074?intc_type...

It's an audio clip from a radio 4 programme, manly about Scotland but they do mention England and Wales towards the end.
