we've had a car outside our house for 8 weeks and its not moved (not sure it can).

spoke to the council, the car is taxed (till July 2017) with no MOT, so apparently nothing they can do.

spoke to the police, nothing they an do as its not dangerously parked or stolen.

Is there anything I can 'legally' do, there appears to be no way to find out who it belongs to either ?

Cheers

Michael

Can you find out if it's insured?

My council have 'abandoned vehicle' reporting If the vehicle hasn't moved for 4 weeks, they will try and get hold of the owner and ask them the status. Worked for me for a camper van that had been sitting outside my home for over a month, contacted the council, a few days later the camper was gone, it's now parked around the corner.
Unfortunately as it's insured the council aren't interested, it's not moved for nearly 2 months now. It's also unlocked, so there hope someone might steal it

Unless your road has a residents only parking arrangement, yellow lines or the car is blocking your drive what is the complaint? It's taxed and insured.
It's a public high way, anyone can come and go and park, tough, just live with it.
No issues with that, it's taxed till July 17, but no MOT, so can't legally be driven. If someone was just parking I'd have no issues, buts it's a wreck and hasn't move for over a month, guess I'll just need to wait 12 months till I phone the council back again
