Another disqualification question
Discussion
Hi all,
I know there are several threads on this topic, but I couldn't find any that are similar to my case.
I have had 6 points on my license for a while now, and have been trying to behave myself when behind the wheel. However there was a mobile camera van on a road near where I work. I popped into the office to drop off a letter - I was caught by the van on the way in doing 38 in a 30 zone, and on the way out 25 minutes later doing 37 in a 30 zone.
I replied to both cases and have now been invited to Magistrates court, their reason "To attend re disqualification"
I really would like to avoid a ban if possible. Does anyone have any tips on how to behave or what to say when I go? I don't really have any excuse, I was being a tw@t and not paying attention when I was driving.
Thank you

When people say (and this isn't a dig at the OP.....well I suppose it is a bit) that they have points on their licence so are being extra careful, does that mean that they are being extra vigilant in looking out for cameras and speed guns? Because when I had 6 points, and I was being extra careful, it meant that I just stopped speeding. Completely, for 18 months.
It didn't matter if I spotted the policeman or the camera or not, because I was never speeding. Maybe things have changed.
To be honest I have calmed down a lot, I do adhere to the speed limits most of the time now, whereas before I was a bit immature. It's no excuse but it's a quiet wide road and I wasn't paying attention. It didn't matter if I spotted the policeman or the camera or not, because I was never speeding. Maybe things have changed.
