A local nature reserve to me has always been free to park in during the week. They used to charge during the summer months at weekends by a gated clerk.
I went there at the beginning of september for a kick around with a few friends. Few days ago a parking fine hit my door. Evidently they now charge 24 hrs with anpr cameras catching you going in and out.
Obviousely i was completely oblivious to this fact. Went back to check and there are 2 very small signs along the (mile) long road entering the reserve.
Presuming i dont have a leg to stand on?

Are payment machines in the car park with the times of operation and costs notified?
I saw a payment machine right at the bottom of the reserve. Which is located next to the cafe, boating lake etc. However on the day i stopped off before this, as i parked in the overflow carpark ( which is a field with logs laid down for parking ) due to us having a kick around on that actual field. So on the day i went no way near the payment machine or i would have twigged.Gassing Station | Speed, Plod & the Law | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
