I sold a smoothie maker on ebay - was brand new unwanted present. Buyer paid and i sent this week. 2 days later get a return request open and says it keeps turning off.
Got it back today and it looks like a different one to what i sent.

royalmail signed for yes have told them I have had it back. I dont hold out much hope to be honest as ebay seem to love the buyer but have no support for sellers.

You dont have a choice - as they have used the pre paid royal mail ebay label as soon as it is delivered they get refunded or maybe a its a few days after. But it's all automatic. So they may as well have sent me an argos catalogue back in the bloody post!

not totally off topic, my girlfriend has just got a job with an airline and on the training day they were giving examples of customer service etc. One girl said she used to work in Argos and some shifty looking bloke came to return a 42" tv saying he had opened the box at home and there were just bricks inside. The stores policy was customer is always right blah blah. So had to refund him even though they knew he was talking rollox.

What is this action for fraud thing anyway? What do they do? Or is it just another way for the police to dish out crime reference numbers without actually having to talk to you?

Wait for his next ebay ad as a seller & make sure you win it. Raise an item not as described case & send him his smoothie maker back
