Council in my area made parking illegal outside your own property without a permit so I park my car on a street that has no parking restrictions.

Went to my motor and one of the residents parked literally 5.000 mm away from the bumper blocking me in. Anyway the resident can see me from the living room inside their home and opens the front door, I ask him if the car is his. He says yes and asks me where I live because I leave my car there and it causes them problems according to him. Obviously tell the idiot it is none of their business where I live and I can park my car where I like as there are no parking restrictions on this road and my car is legal - taxed and insured.

So I just wanted to let these idiots know - and I'm sure plenty are reading this - you do not own the parking space outside your residence.

Also the idiot has done himself no favors because if my shed gets vandalised guess who'll be getting a visit.

Well, at least you know your car won't get bumped accidentally if he can park that accurately. biggrin
I'd give him credit if he did it alone, however I'd say there was help from a third party. I did check for damage FYI.

Why don't you have a permit to park outside your own property?
Several reasons:

1) Cost and admin
2) My current residence is temporary which means I could leave at any time
3) I already pay good money to use the road in the form of car tax
4) I do not wish to be put on a database so the authorities know where I reside

Pass my tin foil hat please,a database knows where I am.
Amusing / bewildering isn't it; until the authorities abuse their power. They'd have trouble finding my residence these days, however please do not derail the thread.

He's not though, is he? Was only the other month and he was homeless and doing pro's in Blackpool.
Still surprised he has a house and can become a company director as he point blank refuses to give the authorities any of his details
Seems you are not a company director. If you were you would know you can go from homeless to a well built director in the time it takes for HMRC to incorporate your company. Also you would know that your registered office and service address does NOT need to be your residential address.

Source - I am a well built director most likely earning more than you. biggrin

LOL don't get jealous. I'm a chartered civil engineer. Not a guy that fixes your fridge or gas appliance, but a genuine first class degree qualified monkey that builds roads to sky scrapers on a whim. I earn an obscene amount for what I do (biggrin) sorry to burst your bubble.

OK I guess you guys all want an update? Well I suspect one of the residents deflated my offside front tire to circa 19 bar so i had to attend the Sainsbury gas station to inflate it back to the recommended maximum of 50 bar with free air. Quite disappointed with this desu but at least they didn't key my shed or slash the tires.

For the record I will not be constructing any more skyscrapers as the money's not worth my troubles. Don't bother with civil engineering kids.

I'm still a technician/B-eng student actually, should be graduating in 2019. Yet even on my minimum wage +50p part time rate I can feed and home myself so I think I'm going to excel on a nice full time salary of 'pleb pay'. Provided I set yourself as the standard. smile
Joking aside - please consider a different career mate. Would you believe me if I said you could earn more as a bin man? Probably not.

Even 50 psi is high for a road car.
My motor's got very low profile tires. I inflate them as recommended on the tire wall.

Isn't that just the max allowable pressure you're reading? Inflate them to the car manufacturer's recommendation. Or 50 bar, your call.
Yes it's the max allowable pressure. I inflated them to 48 PSI for the record to see if the deflation was due to a slow puncture or deliberate deflation; pressure is still at 48 PSI one week later suggesting deliberate deflation. I inflate the tires as recommended on the wall of the tire as I do not necessarily use OEM elements.

OK so I've relented and dumped my shed in a different location for a time. It means a slightly longer walk of an evening but I couldn't live with myself if she got vandalized or tampered with again.
