Ok so council fine, my friend got. they have him fairly bang to rights he enters the box MTC KINGTSON ROAD j/w with Dorset road.

He enter after the lights changed and failed to judge the traffic que. He wasn't turning right.

Any help, seems a cash cow £130 (£65 in 14 days) for entering a box junction

£130 is more than FPN for speeding!

No not having it, it's a money making racket, after all these years all of a sudden getting caught in a box junction warrants a £110 fine, because like you know and I know there is a load of money to be made from it, it's not even worth debating it's so crystal clear.
£130 seems excessive, if it was £50 but that's more than a penalty for speeding,

It's opposite a tram cross with poor vision, someone has already said it's stop start.

He was stop start and it all stopped. He started reversing and a car came thundering up behind him.

We live in the southwest and travel to London on business as does he but not immediate plans to be there again soon.

Anyone understand the de minimis rule in council PCNs? is it the offence did not occur due the markings or in this I believe despite having Tfl approval the box junction does not comply with TSRGD section on box junctions.

A con? Being fined for committing an easily avoidable motoring offence is a con?
You'll be telling me next you're being fined for using your mobile phone and that's a con too because you were lured into it by a council stooge phoning you.
£130 for entering a YBL on a stop start section of road! That is more then the fine two months ago for mobile phone.

This isn't a standard box junctions et out TSRGD! Its a merton special that when they started fining folk they didn't even have TfL approval for!
