Just a quicky.

I have changed my 320i to a 325i via an engine conversion, I have informed my insurance and they have isued new documents all done properly on that front.

How important is it that I re-register it with the DVLA? Is it an offence to have it still registered as a 2 litre on the V5

Also do I have to send them a new engine number? or can I just give them the cylinder capacity change?

I just really hate dealing with the DVLA and with new reg time fast approaching it will no-doubt take ages to return the V5 and I may end up selling it soon so want the V5 handy so I was going to leave it until the time when I send it off for the new keeper.

Cheers

ETA: it is a 1988 model so Tax isn't affected.

My point was that I may want to sell the car and people get funny if you don't have a V5 which may take months to get at present.

I'm fully insured but would I be comitting any major offence if I drive it still registered as a 2.0 even though insurance have been informed.

Also I have done the conversion myself so have no paperwork documenting tha change to send off.
