Hey guys
Just to share some info, some of which may not be to everyone`s taste but will try hard biggrin
Sold my other ZO6 a while back, missed it bad so had to get another one.

Got solid plans for it,will it turn out as good as my kenne bell ZO6 em probably not,but will try hard on that score as well.

Pictures tell it better than i can so might get a bit boring lol.
As purchased.

I intended to drive it some, then Dale and i did the interior swap, which kinda made me do a new head unit install while the seats and lower dash was out, removed carpets to run wires to the rear of car.

Also needed to replace the quick shifter,on the drive home i never did see 5th and 6th,their in there somewhere, was going to use both hands to shift into 5th but bit dangerous that.

Used a c6 ZO6 shifter in my 01 reasonable throw and real smooth,so ordered one and now installed.

Was chatting with my nephew (paint guy)lol ,well with the interior out kinda do the repaint now.
That does get a bit complicated ref the hood, which needs to be suitable for a blower. And a bit expensive all in one go,with new rubber seals, door seals, emblems, speed clips, front spoiler parts, even replaced the air inlet wiper tray thing, all that seems to make the car look new.
I really didn`t want to use all the old lights, front corner, rears etc,so yeah more bucks.

Ordered the hood, but painted the stocker anyway.Took about a week of evenings taking the thing apart, unreal the amount space all that takes up when removed biggrin

Cheers for now.

Cool mate,if you are going to use your dash top you will find it has a u shaped ridge on the under side, kinda makes it easier to cut out the right area.

Only bit that could give you aggro is screws hidden under the screen vent, think the vent just pops upward, then you can get to the screws.

Also maybe remove the two nuts holding the column ,allows the steering wheel to drop a tad more, giving you more room.

biggrin Not sure that`s going to happen mate, might take the L biggrin

Roof mouldings and seals, the screen has been replaced at some point and the mouldings and seals have to be removed for that. They are stuck with goo and get a bit wrecked on removal so needed to replace the whole lot.

So will you be fitting the TVS2300 instead? Nice units and people are pushing some power out of them these days. have you seen the magnuson Hearbeat blower? Like an aftermarket LS9 unit that fits under a stock C6 hood. Think they are only doing it for the LS3 at the moment though.
Hi,i did look at the TVS2300,yeah seem pretty good,i have compomised on power for more whine.
So went with the old MP112 had one on an 01 coupe when they first came out, this one is intercooled
so should be a tad better. Also got a cracking deal on the MP112 which kinda clinched it biggrin

Tiger, not got into that yet,can send my pcm back to magnuson for the tune, but my guy over there is trying to get a hand held +tune for me,then i`ll go from there.

Cheers for the info mate, should really get back on that site,Funcool never gave up with the mp112,kinda in the back of my mind says i can get reasonable power out of these.

A lot of people told me you can use the cog pulleys on the tvs2300,just got the impression it would not sound the way i would want, shame cos it seems a real nice bit of kit, kinda just had to go with what i know lol.
As for the kenne bell, real nice, any info why they are no longer available would be interesting ,i presume not enough units sold, and was that mainly because of the large hood that was needed, although i did try and help with that by managing to fit the maggie ACIhood to my kb 01.

Cheers bud.

Yeah his is spinning the nuts out of the little blower! Seems to work for him though. Interestingly he has a ECS boost controller for his setup. So he can open the bypass valve and go from 20psi down to 7! Might be with a look at once the motor is forged! He is also pooring the meth in to help with the IATs.

Think KB screwed alot of people over. They promised a lot but didn't give much.
I have lots to do eh biggrin

Shame about kb,always helpful to me,even gave me free $hit.

Yeah mate, does look good, and all the modern blowers deliver easy power eh.
If the TVS2300 sounded like the mp112 then add the coggs i`d bite their hand off.
For now just gonna push the mp112 and go from there.

Those rear coggs on an mp112 seem a no go,not sure exactly what you have to change, left rotor, main external drive shaft??

Trying to just finsh the repaint project and drive it a bit,but starting to get twitchy about the blower lol, then theres the short block.biggrin

Cheers mate,oh and keep any info coming eh.

I emailed magnuson, but no reply yet, maybe mod some tvs ones? think fun cool is the only person out there with them and doesn`t seem over willing to share too
much info lol. I`m sure they could sell loads of sets and get rid of belt slip.
I have asked a question on funcools thread but no reply as yet.

Short block, not sure bud, kinda thinking just forge it for more boost, then you start to get into it eh.
Might make sense to leave mine alone and build a new motor from sratch, not got into it enough though $$$ wise.

TBH dont know enough about LS6 engines etc and whats available, good fun looking though.

Do people who just want forged internals put new pistons into worn bores? and if thats a bad idea wouldn't have a clue who to do the machine work/rebore over here.
The other prob with using the old motor is when you get in there i can see me replacing all the other stuff,so don't know mate biggrin

Kinda like the idea of doing a new motor while i just drive the car with the stocker. Either way its going to be bucks. Good fun though.
Just may take a while.
Cheers mate

Ok heres the thing, when taking off the front bumper i needed to raise the front lamps to remove them to get access to the front wing bolts.
I did this manually with the knobs on the motor.Once i`d removed the bumper manually lowered them down.

So put bumper back on after paint, checked the corner lights were working etc, front headlights pop up.........................................................
front headlights won`t go down, lets just say spent hours working out what was wrong, fuses, motors, lower dash out to check multifunction stalk , light switch.
Nope, read something about voltage drop with hid conversions ,so the only thing i haven`t done is plug the h/light bulbs into their connectors.
Yep ,if the bulbs have blown,or if they are not plugged into the harness connector the lamp unit will not lower ,might be old news but not to me lol.

Anyways sorted now, next the rear led light units yeah they do that fast flashing when indicators are used, hazards seem fine,so got some led resistors four of them
one for each unit, wire them in.................................no ****ing different biggrin great just great.
They seem very small resistors so don't know ,the guys getting back to me.Nothing a beer can`t fix.
