C5's

I'm toying with the idea of getting a Corvette, and a C5 fits the bill in terms of styling and budget
Do they have any failings? I'm guessing the drivetrain will be fairly bulletproof
Also, insurance. A quick look at quotes came up with £200(minimum) more than my 350z; seemed a bit much...

I'm surprised about your insurance. I would get some more quotes, and don't bother with comparison sites. Insurance can be had for £200-300 I would think, obviously dependent on your risk. I would try Admiral, Adrian Flux and Stevenage Insurance Services to start with.

I read the C5 thread on CCCUK last night funnily enough. Of course it is more of a 'what can go wrong' list, than what does go wrong (I hope!)
Interesting you mention Stevenage Insurance; they are a 10 minute stroll away from my house
