Thanks for the kind words smile

After speaking with Andy and Callum at Sevens and Classics I get the real impression they are both passionate about these cars and keen to make sure the buying experience is very good. I've never been offered so many drinks in a showroom! smile

Collecting the car tomorrow smile but it looks like I'll have to keep the wet weather gear on the car as rain seems to be forecast all dayfrown

I will probably be on the M25 from J3 to J5 then head across on the A25/A22/A264 towards Horsham and home.

Well I made it home safe and sound and kept the hood off all the way smile absolutely pissed it down on the M25 but apart from that I had no issues smile

Not taken any yet. I've been in the garage fiddling with it, have removed the windscreen and fitted the aeroscreen smile put on my new 7 grill and removed the fire ext as I can imagine someone grabbing it to test it!

My first trip out with it fitted was with the mrs, it's great for not having to talk to each other in the car wink glad I got some funky looking clear safety glasses from work though smile

Great to hear you're enjoying your new car. How so, with regards to the glasses were you hit with a flying object? Interested as I've ordered the wet weather gear on mine but fancy putting a plastic aeroscreen on for the summer (new screens are £500.00+ yikes).

How did the missus react when you said you were removing the screen and she'll need to wear glasses? laugh
Wasn't hit, but it gets very windy very quickly with no full windscreen on! biggrin

To be honest on my drive home from collecting it I couldn't see anything behind me through the rear view mirror as it vibrated so much and the door mirrors hadn't been moved so I could use them! And as the car came with the aeroscreen it seemed a good idea to change it over, just so I could see what was behind me of course! wink

But I think I might invest in some mirrors that I can bolt to the windscreen when it goes back on, and hope that they don't vibrate!

She was fine with it, fortunately she has short hair at the moment so it isn't too bad in the wind. smile

To be honest, I'm not sure I'd use the doors when I put the screen back on so having mirrors attached to the screen wouldn't cause any problems.

One thing I did notice when I removed the screen, was 2 wires, one on each side ( I assume for the heated screen) and one was broken, I took the passenger knee plate off and found a blue wire that had been cut/broken and when I removed the screen I found the other end. I didn't try the heated screen button before I took it off.

I'm not sure there is a "right" time to drive it with the aeroscreen, you're going to get blasted by the wind, and pelted with flies and gravel all the time biggrin so just go ahead and do it thumbup

Though I have to say, even with this nice weather we're having at the moment I haven't stopped wearing a fleece and having it done all the way up when out for a drive! smile
