London Tunnel Run Last Night!!

Took my car with a mate through a lot of the tunnels in London last night. It was the first time I drove it through London and I must say it got a lot of positive attention!

Whilst at the main junction of Piccadilly Circus I stalled the car and the engine cut off kicked in (doh!!!). This meant my passenger had to get out and push me to the side on the road. As soon as he started about 3 to 4 people helped him. We stopped just next to Eros, took off the bonnet and I had to sort out the switch which the allowed the car to start up again. In that short time the car caused quite a stir. Loads of people started posing for pics. It was like a scene from Top Gear! A great experience!

We used to do some of the semi secret ' organised' tunnel runs during the night in our old Caterham. Had some massively entertaining nights there. Driving in London can still be a giggle. In fact, we went up on Sat evening for the Chelsea Cruise.

I agree it is a laugh. I went out at about 10.30 and reached the west end at 11 but it was still quite busy. Next time I think just after midnight may be better. In fact, I may go out next weekend!!
