Engine cuts out occasionally whilst driving

Hi,

the last drive out the stack display went blank and the engine cut out while driving. I depressed the clutch immediately and rolled to a stop at the roadside. I turned the ignition key to off. After waiting a bit I restarted normally. This happened several times before I got back home.

There was plenty of petrol in the tank, and the warning lights worked (and the battery is newish, if that makes a difference).


Could it have anything to do with the stack display warning me (occasionally) that the internal battery is low?


Any ideas?

Edit: yup, a battery lead was loose.
