It has not been touched (cleaned) for over a year.
Hope to show some good shots of the finish soon.
Like to see the finished result - can you put some pics up, http://www.kdskeltec.co.uk/

Recently took my collector and silencer to a local engineering firm / metal finishing company to get it all properly polished.
Pleased with the results and it actually cleaned off a lot of the micro scratches left behind by the wire-wool and autosol method.
Just wish I didn't waste all the effort trying to do it by hand first.
Have you got any pics Martyn?Pleased with the results and it actually cleaned off a lot of the micro scratches left behind by the wire-wool and autosol method.

I find this thread deeply disturbing. You all have Caterham Sevens. One of the most brilliant, electrifying drivers cars ever conceived - and one of the plainest looking.
Getting all "detail-y" over a seven is like getting Kelly Brook into bed, then complaining she's st at crosswords. Sort it out you lot, and spend the Autosol budget on a set of C spanners and some scales.
Stop worrying about us and our polishing chat and go back to your discussion about whether you should have salt and pepper on the table - much more interesting.Getting all "detail-y" over a seven is like getting Kelly Brook into bed, then complaining she's st at crosswords. Don't know about the crossword but I would compare it to getting into bed with Kelly B and feeling her hairy legs and armpits - got to keep it trim and smooth.
