Hi

I have a 1.6SS Megagrad engine which i think could do with a freshen up.
Below 80 degrees it has always, since i've owned it, been a little noisy with a 'clack' under load. this has now increased following a race weekend at Silverstone.

Can anyone recommend someone who knows their way around the engine in the Northwest?

BTW the engine is fitted to my Midget these days!

Thanks.

I'm wondering how much more complicated the K is compared to the A series which i've done a few of. Can the big ends can be done in situ?

Thanks for your input, I had it out for a run last night, and it seemed not so different - I might have been a little paranoid! the sound disappears between 70 and 80 degrees C oil pressure normal ( cold 80psi @2000rpm to 60psi when fully warm and a touch over 20psi at hot idle)

looking back on onboard video on circuit the oil pressure does twitch on long fast corners but my 20 psi oil light never comes on.

all measurements for pressure are from the remote oil filter.

i'll change oil from 5/40 synth to 5/50
thanks again
