Hi,

Does anyone have a spare one of these packs lying in their garage unused?
Ideally I need the bolt which connects the front suspension shock to the chassis, I belive this to be "5/16" x 2 1/4" with plain section and imperial (fine) threaded section V-Grade 10.9".

Wrong time of year for these problems to occur!

Bad luck David! frown I do, but I'm afraid by the time it gets to you with Spanish post, Dartford will be open anyway. (4th Jan)
Which comes the problem. I'm back to work on the 4th and they're not longer open weekends in 2010? From the Caterham email, I think the earliest I can go up is on the 29th? That's how I've made sense of the below;

Winter opening hours
Factory: Open as usual until midday on 24th December. Normal hours resume from 5th January.

Caterham South & Midlands: Open as usual until midday on 24th December. Closed 25th - 28th December. Open from 9.30am - 4.00pm 29th, 30th & 31st December. Closed 1st January, normal hours resume from 2nd January

My current item has failed on me and rendered me car-less until it's fixed.

Driving the Caterham to Christmas Eve celebrations, pull out of my road, get about 100 meters down it (~200 meters from home) when the car hits the deck all a sudden. I was only doing roughly 20 MPH (luckily), and there was a dropped curb that I was able to pull over onto and remain mostly off the road.

Hazards on, then get out and wonder what the hell just happened and how I was going to move the 7 now sitting on it's sump.

On inspection the I found it was where the left shock attaches to the chassis (top mount, just as it enters the bodywork), I'm not yet sure if the bolt just unwound itself, or if it's sheared off and this caused the joint to fail.

Lucky there was a drop curb and my sump didn't take too much of a pounding (I hope). The oil pressure is fine but I'm still to have a good look due to rushing about doing Xmas things, alas getting lifts.

With work starting again on the 4th Jan, I hoped to have it back on the road before then to cause any big issues.
