Found a 24 Valve manual one today that needs rescuing and I'm very tempted. I had a Grey 12 Valve in 2001 that I paid £180 for and ran for about 9 months and then a Red 24 Valve auto in circa 2006.

I can't find any of the road tests and brochures that I had for them, so does anyone know the power and performance figures and also the weight of them ?

Are spares still available ? Particularly body work, as this one has the usual rear outer sill end rot. I'm thinking along the lines of a Lotus Carlton replica as it needs paintwork anyway.

Hello RB, sounds a nice one ! But those sill ends will be rotting ! And yes, I gave all my brochures etc to the buyer of my one, but if you can find the weight, power and torque output ( of both ) and performance figures, that would be of interest !

Nice looking GSi R8 ! Rare color as well, all I seem to remember were Grey Metalic GSis.

I seem to recall an advert saying that the Carlton was quicker than a 944. I had also imagined the VX to be quicker to 60 than 8.1, my 12 V certainly felt faster than that.

The 24 V from memory had over 200 Bhp ?
