I own a 58' plate Vauxhall zafira 1.9 life.(120bhp) with 57,000 miles on the clock.
Lately the emissions light came on, so I done the pedal test & the fault code came up about the DPF
Has anyone removed the EGR & DPF & had the car remapped?
I want to know will it be less trouble & not a MOT failure, thanks

did find one the other week (Celtic Tuning i think it was) who would do a decent remap for a pretty good price. Not really in the know with the workings of engines but if it's common for people to blank off the EGR and take out the DPF thing, why did they bother with them to begin with from factory?
Too right mate more trouble than anything mate

Because they reduce emissions so the car conforms to regulations and keeping the VED cost down, they also help to stop the putrid black smoke and smell that comes out of a lot of older diesels so thanks for that thumbuprolleyes
