Hello all,

I am lucky enough to be spending three years in the USA and have decided that a Mustang is the way ahead. Specifically, a Shelby is the way ahead...! I have spent a fair bit of time looking into them and have decided to go for 2011 or later model, a coupe, preferably with the glass roof option.

However, I am keen to hear the opinions of existing Mustang owners regarding pros and cons of these cars - including options such as the glass roof and the SVT package.

I will be looking to bring the car back to the UK (I understand that if I meet certain conditions I will not be liable to pay import duty or VAT) so I want to get the purchase right first time and get something that's a pleasure to drive on either side of the road.

Any views and opinions appreciated.

Finally, here's one that I am looking at in Florida - what do you think?

Many thanks for your help,

KH.

5ohmustang - lovely looking car and thanks for the advice. I will check that out. I live in Florida, up in the panhandle. Have been keeping an eye on the cars around here for some time. Wondering if the 11/12/13 'Stangs will drop in value much once the '15 comes out.

GT500Nick - I will look around and see if there are any Boss cars around here. It is not something I had considered so thanks for the steer. Re-sale value is certainly something I am keen on because I don't know if I will get on with a LHD car in the UK so want to have the option of selling without making a big loss. Along these lines, do you feel that the RHD cars will affect the resale value of LHD ones?

Cheers.
