Headlight Upgrade

Has anyone upgraded their headlights. I was out the other night and used the headlights for the first time. Well, when I say
used, I mean I switched them on and wasn't impressed. Another thought, is this a fault on my car or are they actually a bit poor?

This might be stating the obvious, but when we first picked ours up the headlight levelling had been left in the maximum "downward" position (during the PDI presumably) - driving it on country roads was a tad scary until I figured out where the dial was! The round bit in the centre of the switch just in case

I like the obvious, especially when it's pointed out to me! I'll take a look later, thanks David.
