Upgrades ... worth what at the end?

I am just thinking about some upgrades to me car, specifically supercharging, suspension and exhaust. Functional as opposed to aesthetic. Not a cheap
business, I wouldn't expect it to be.

But I wonder what the effect in terms of the car's value would be in say 3 years if I was to "invest" in these upgrades. Whilst I appreciate that I am not going
to get my money back (I am doing this for my own enjoyment by the way), what sort of percentage return could I expect?

Are there "desirable" upgrades on a Mustang? Anything to be avoided?

The S197 was an enthusiast car, this is a boggo RHD with a V8.

I think mods will negatively effect the resell on this as it would a BMW or an Audi
