Not a good start into my Mustang search
Discussion
Thought I'd post something up, not necessarily to get feedback, but more of a whine and to hopefully avoid others doing the same!
Due to the PH name and shame rules I'll keep this as vague as I can, but it wont take the detective skills of Poirot to find out who I'm on about.
Two weeks ago I called a certain dealer who was advertising a used Roush mustang on PH, I like light blue cars and my budget is upto £30k (I'll leave you to do the detective work)
Anyway, I live way over in deepest darkest Somerset and the dealer is way over the other side of the country near the east coast, a 4 hour drive which lets be honest, if its a car you're after, you wont mind driving to. We arrive shortly after 1pm and wait for the owner to turn up and open his unit to which I must admit had a very impressive array of American muscle inside. He moves a couple of cars and brings the said Roush to the front. Its very pretty in the flesh and actually I'm very interested. We all have a look and chat about the car etc. Then I said "shall we go for a spin then" to which he responded "No, I don't do demonstrators, besides its just been cleaned and if you go out in it, I'll have to get it cleaned again!" I stood there flabbergasted, I appreciate places like this must be inundated with joyriders wanting to have a blat in the unaffordable, but we had just driven for 4 hours, which he knew, I'd been in touch several times after details and images etc and when it comes to actually trying the said car, we couldn't, he didn't even offer a passenger ride with him driving, he just wasn't interested.
Needless to say, we walked straight back out and drove the 4 hours home.
So, the moral of the story is if you're interested in a particular car being sold by a dealer in the East that specialises in American cars, don't expect to be able to actually see the car working first.
On that note, I am after an imported mustang, something out of the ordinary, supercharged or BOSS etc. I have a budget of upto £30k. If you hear of anything, drop me a PM. Cheers Benn

Ah yes apologies, very light on requirements there wasn't I!
I'm after a manual, must be V8, not obsessed with mileage or year as long as it's been looked after, but I'm a magpie for the unusual, love the Elenor body kits and anything out of the ordinary.
I have autotrader alerts set up and scan eBay every other day, I've been looking since November last year but not made a big thing of it. There is a Boss on autotrader, but there's no response on the number and it does appear a bit too good to be true for the price so I'm dubious that it's a real add.
Was a real pity about the roush as I'd had probably had it, but just can't be doing with being treated that way.
