Couldn't see anything after a brief look on the forum but has anyone else seen this game for PC?

http://www.assettocorsa.net/en/

Some of the screenshots look superb and it will have Laudas Ferrari 312T in it as well as a host of other classic F1 and a screenshot of an E30 M3 drifting.

Time for me to build a gaming PC I think

Is anyone planning on getting this on console? PS4/Xbox version out in June, Amazon offering pre-orders for £33.
Ordered. Not that I have a PS4 yet I've held off until this is released. Now have a G29 wheel and omega wheel stand so will practice on GT6

Bought this on console - can't wait until 26th for it to arrive biggrin

Anyone else getting it on console (PS4 in my case)?
I've had it on pre order for about 3 months now, can't wait!
Same been on order for months. Although I believe there's different car packs depending on retailer?

Mine in the post, coming tomorrow (PS4 version). They've emailed me some code to use with it. Can't even remember ordering the damn game.

Hope this is worth getting the driving rig out for. For some reason I didn't get on with project cars, felt like it was going nowhere.
Same here. Sadly Amazon always deliver after 6 to me and I'm in all day until 6 frown

So just put in a couple of hours on this on PS4, I'm finding it a brilliant sim using a G29 and H-shifter, I'm really having to work hard driving the cars fast and it's forcing me to take the correct lines on track whereas Pcars was a lot more forgiving if you weren't on the racing line.

I also like the career mode not all being about racing cars similar to real racing on the iPad.

Nope, no options like that. HUD options are 'Full, limited or none' in the menus. And then it doesn't even tell you exactly what changes.

My biggest annoyance right now is the brake pedal. It's far too sensitive but I can't adjust it. And the wheel turns to lock are off in some cars but I can't adjust either!

The clutch control I've worked out is on cars with two pedals but Auto Clutch off, it doesn't pull clutch in at idle do it jitters down the road. Auto Clutch on.
I found issues with the auto clutch setting not working so I just clutch now.

Also to see tyre temps you need tyre wear on. However I think that only shows in telemetry

There's no real time telemetry on console. Is there any on PC?
Out of curiosity do any of these cars in real life come with tyre temp gauges? Maybe the GTR?

Now I've had a few hours to play this game this is what I think. The physics and force feedback are so much better than anything else I have played.

You can really sense the weight and momentum of the cars. When you crash at the ring into the barriers it feels really real, not like Project Cars where the barriers suck you in (with that horrible scraping noise) and its hard to get off them! Plus the sense of speed is unreal, take the Pagoni on the ring and when you give it full beans down a straight you know you are shifting.

The inside of the cars are really nice too and I like how you can see left/right in all positions you put the camera.

Its also nice and quick when you quite a game to get back to the main menu to select another car/track combo.

Mainly though its the Force Feedback ad the physics/handling model - you can take the Ferrari around the track and make it dance by steering on the throttle - you can't really show boat that much in Project Cars as its: slide, then snap over steer which you can't catch.

When the cars slide in project cars you can sense the length of the cars and that when you counter-steer the physics are taking that into consideration.

Once private online lobbies are set up this will be ace.

The track side scenery doesn't look as nice as some others but the main reason you should want a game like this is realism - and in this area the way the cars drive is brilliant!

The feedback I get through my Thrustmaster T300RS wheel is amazing.

Love this game!
+1

Found an empty server last night so me and a friend had a couple of races, we've been racing since GT6 then PCars and we both said that was the most intense racing we'd had.

I'm thinking about returning this. It's a real shame - I've had it on pre-order all year and been looking forward to it since 2014. I just don't update my gaming PC any more (and I'd much rather play on my 50" Sony wall-mount than my piddly monitor) so consoles are for me...

...but this game is just so poorly refined. I could trade in and get F1 2016 and have some fun!
The F1 series of games is awful!! AC is as close to real as I've had on a PlayStation.

I'm not sure why everyone's hooked up on tyre temp displays, you wouldn't have them in most of the cars so why should you have one on screen?

Anybody up for a weekly time trial similar to what we do in the Project Cars thread?

Is this worth buying on the ps4? I'm a big gran turismo fan but I'm sick of waiting for gt sport. I didn't like project cars due to its twitch handling and I will be using a pad.
You have even longer to wait now it's been pushed back to 2017.

So today Porsche pack 2, the red pack and a game update all went live on PS4.

Having great fun thrashing about in the wide variety of cars. Certainly a big change from the old Maserati 250 that feels like it's on ice to the current Porsche LMP1 car that feels like it's glued to the track.

Agreed sounds brilliant.

I look forward to see what 2017 brings. So another British manufacturer? Noble perhaps?

Ferrari 70th Anniversary pack will contain...

  • 1967 330 P4
  • 1967 312/67
  • 1984 288 GTO
  • 2004 F2004
  • 2017 812 Superfast
  • SF70H
The SF70H was the winner of the vote.
Of all the great cars people had to choose from I’m amazed the SF70H won, so disappointing but then a lot of kids aren’t interested in proper cars.

Going from what I see on public servers, cars that aren't popular are classic cars, F1 cars and supercars. Even the modern hybrid Ferrari F1 car that is already in the game doesn't seem to get much use.
So that leaves Endurance racers?

So had a day off waiting for a phone line to be installed so spent the day with the wheel out on the PS4.

I decided to play Pcars first as the new one is inbound this month it was so dull. I switched back to AC and it was great thrashing the KTM around sideways everywhere. I did have some issues keeping the Maserati 250 in a straight line though but skinny tyres probably doesn’t help.
