Assetto Corsa - Time Trial

Name a track, name a car - I'll compile the results and we'll have a weekly Time Trial starting in 2 days with the most nominated track and most nominated car.

Results will be confirmed via RSR Live Timing so you'll need to set it up and I'll start a table with in-game character/PH name etc...

All players need to use 'Pro' Settings.

We need at least 5 players to make this work I reckon.

Whoever wins the first combo gets to nominate the next one, and so on.

So there's no bias from me, I'll name first.

I think there's a fair amount of subtlety but it's very close on the limit.

I'm working hard with the wheel - it certainly isn't 'point & shoot'.

Anyway - next week the winner can chosse something different.

Altrezia needs to be on RSR for the lap to be valid so we're all using the same parameters.

Oh yes, I agree entirely, I'm just not used to reacting to a car under me quite this much! Normally in real life that's a once a month patch of oil mid corner type affair, leaving 99.99% of corrections to be pre-emptive. It's been fascinating getting out of my comfort zone though. :-)

I agree with what you mean about losing half a second from a minor mistake, the envelope on it is very, very small. I reckon I've got at least another second in me if I nailed the perfect lap - but that isn't ever going to happen because it's arguably impossible with this car at my skill level. I'm not good enough.

I find with the slower, softer cars, that envelope is larger and it's almost a great lap of averages - if that makes sense?

Anyway - I commited the Hotlap sins if sins earlier - I absolutely nailed the first three corners - haha - I'm always chasing the damn ghost car/splits.

The way I look at it, is I'm competeing with my virtual mates in our real bedrooms/studys/mancaves/lounges etc.. thats all that counts. That's what I'll work within - guys I know, because PH sorts of filters that crap out. - You've raced, I've raced, I'm sure some of the other guys have as well, if they haven't they're avid drivers of some lovely cars...

I think that we'll have a stonking race series if we can sort out the timings.

I've still got all the PH GPL League (2004-2005) results, GTR (2005 season), GTL (2006) and rFactor multiple series 2007-2011 race results here and looking through the only names I recognise from back then on here at the moment is Altrezia who raced rFactor with the Australian Supercars in 2008, Touring Car Legends in 2009/2011 & TVR Challenge in 2010 and RobM who did some Porsche Supercup races in 2009. So in terms of getting numbers racing if they have AC we could get some strong grids.

No problem - I did the RacePro timetrials, and Forza same, back in the day.

This is really my first venture back into PC racing since "F1 Challenge 99-02" and all the mods for a few years after.
