The cars I have in mind are those that are in the recommended "Touring Cars" list.

shout Confirmed this will be held on TUESDAY NIGHTS.

This will start with 480pp on Tuesday 11th March at Silverstone International

Time slot each week will be as follows
Practice: 20:00
Qualifying: 20:45
Race: 21:00

Regs:
NOS is NOT PERMITTED
Traction Control and ABS permitted to make these cars usable for all abilities.
RACE compound tyres (weather you choose soft, med or hard is up to you).
IF we run any wet races they will be declared so before hand and we'll start on an already wet track and will use RACE WETS.
Tyre/Fuel depletion will be NORMAL.
MANDATORY pit stop (although you won't have to change tyre compounds if you don't want to).
Slipstream will be REALISTIC.
Damage on LIGHT.
Day/night transition on a fast setting on the tracks that allow it.

Calibra update.
shout Everyone can use (if they want to) the Calibra ONCE and only ONCE for the 480pp races.

Points will be as follows:
1st: 25 pts
2nd: 22 pts
3rd: 20 pts
4th: 18 pts
5th: 16 pts
6th: 14 pts
7th: 12 pts
8th: 10 pts
9th: 8 pts
10th: 7 pts
11th: 6 pts
12th: 5 pts
13th: 4 pts
14th: 3 pts
15th: 2 pts
16th: 1 pt

Pole position: 4 pts

DC Points: If you genuinely DC from a race by that I mean get dropped from server but come back in and spectate for remaining duration of race (IE RAGE QUITTERS won't get anything) I'll award you points for last place.
So if there were 7 finishers (as there were in round one) those that DCd will get points for 8th.

We will run various PPs across the course of the season.
We will run each PP band for a few rounds then change it (looking at three different pps) to keep variety across the races.

These will be the three PP bands
480PP
580PP
650PP

We'll use a different PP for different rounds (all of us running the same PP)...for example:
Willow Springs International Raceway = we all run 480pp
Brands Hatch GP = we all run 580pp
Silverstone GP = we all run 650pp
etc etc etc

You can still change car each week though if you like smile or you can use one car for the whole season and mod it to change it's PP.

The races will be approx 45-55mins each round around these tracks, Running order as follows:

Silverstone International 40 laps = 480pp
Trial Mountain Circuit 30 laps = 480pp
Willow Springs International Raceway 30 laps = 480pp
Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca 30 laps = 480pp
Brands Hatch Indy = 480pp
-
Brands Hatch GP = 580pp
Suzuka Circuit = 580pp
Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps = 580pp
Mount Panorama = 580pp
Deep Forest Raceway = 580pp
Grand Valley Speedway = 580pp
-
Silverstone GP = 650pp
Circuit de la Sarthe = 650pp
Nürburgring GP = 650pp
Autodromo Nazionale Monza = 650pp
Twin Ring Motegi = 650pp
Special Stage Route 5 = 650pp

Ya I'd be up for this aswell, when do you think this would start?
Excellent.
It will set a start date once I know what night Colin is dropping from the PHCC series, It'll be either a Tues or Weds so This will run on the night that is freed-up.

So not for a few weeks yet.

My Thoughts so far:
Traction Control and ABS permitted to make these cars usable for all abilities.
RACE compound tyres (weather you choose soft, med or hard is up to you).
IF we run any wet races they will be declared so before hand and we'll start on an already wet track and will use RACE WETS.
Tyre/Fuel depletion will be NORMAL.
MANDATORY pit stop (although you won't have to change tyre compounds if you don't want to).
Slipstream will be REALISTIC.
Damage on LIGHT.
Day/night transition on a fast setting on the tracks that allow it.

Points will be as follows:
1st: 25 pts
2nd: 22 pts
3rd: 20 pts
4th: 18 pts
5th: 16 pts
6th: 14 pts
7th: 12 pts
8th: 10 pts
9th: 8 pts
10th: 7 pts
11th: 6 pts
12th: 5 pts
13th: 4 pts
14th: 3 pts
15th: 2 pts
16th: 1 pt

Pole position: 4 pts

Once all of the above is set in stone I'll add it to the opening post smile

I'll be all over this at the weekend trying different weather/daytime settings out, really keen to get a grid of these rolling with PHers as I am in a championship for these cars already and they really are superb cars to drive.

My current race car, although I'll prob be using something different for this series...I like the look of the Z4 racecar:

As it's 580PP could Super GT cars also take part? A testing night could be used to determine what can take part? Would be great fun a shakedown for the series. And some good racing.
I don't see why not, it won't be a "STRICT" series and will let people use different cars each round to keep the grid varied

btw the SUPER GT cars are mega twitchy.

I Might set the lounge by min weight and max power instead of by PP but need to try a few things over the weekend before deciding for sure one way or the other.

PP is nice and easy for people to work to at a glance though.

Also Toying with running slow car boost on LOW too......but all just thinking out loud at this stage.

Your call Y2, my thoughts on your thoughts so far:

RACE compound tyres (weather you choose soft, med or hard is up to you). We will all choose softs I am sure.
IF we run any wet races they will be declared so before hand and we'll start on an already wet track and will use RACE WETS. Good
MANDATORY pit stop (although you won't have to change tyre compounds if you don't want to). - OK
Tyre/Fuel depletion will be NORMAL. - OK but I prefer v fast.
Slipstream will be REALISTIC. - Good, boost even when weak spoils racing and it becomes arcadey
Damage on LIGHT. - Don't care either way.
Day/night transition on a fast setting on the tracks that allow it. Good.

I ilke the idea of this, so count me in whatever the rules, but I'll not be in every week as usual.
I appreciate your input and yeah thinking about it boost will not be used

Some of them are quite quick but as you said a bit twitchy smile Max power and min weight sounds good. And being able to use a different car at every round as well. Constant variety at every track!
A Quick session right now and SUPER GT are no no nono they are too extreme for what I have in mind.
For this first series we'll stick to the GT3/Touring Car type.

Max Power and Min weight will end up limiting choice so it looks like I'll leave it to the PP to sort things out and see how it goes.

That way we'll have lighter and less powerful cars mixing it up with heavyweight bruisers, it should work out well.

Looking like 580pp provisionally

Blade, what about running a class structure for this series? I know theres nothing set in stone but thinking about it, why wouldn't people just use the Gt3 cars instead of running a golf touring car. It would give an incentive to race the slower touring cars instead of everyone just turning up in a ford gt or sls amg (plus I want to turn up in a 190E without getting destroyed smile)
Just a suggestion!
Good point and well made.
I might try a slower touring car tuned up to 580pp this afternoon and see how it runs in comparison to my benchmark 580pp race car...if it runs the same sort of lap times then it might not be an issue come race day with slipstream and suchlike.

I'm definitely open to the idea of two classes though....a class for "touring cars" and a class for "GT3 type" to all run together with separate points scoring for each class if that is what's needed.

I'm all ears ears

How about 2 or 3 different PP's running different ones at different tracks. I'd love to be able to use a Mclaren F1 but refuse to down tune it and the lower P touring cars make for really close racing
Edit: ah sorry I misread you, yeah that sounds good...really good yes

You meant Multiclass?
No, different PP for different rounds (all run the same PP)...for example:
Silverstone GP = we all run 650pp
Brands Hatch GP = we all run 580pp
Willow Springs International Raceway = we all run 480pp
etc etc etc

I'll sort out EXACTLY what rounds we'll use each PP band ASAP, but that will be the format.
