Did you get the email re the T-Shirt not being available? I couldn't give a monkey's, so am well chuffed with the £5 discount!

That's not a bad deal, once I've eBayed/Cexed the headset, think it should work out around £20 for the game.

Good stuff, Moog. From playing the Battlefield series, "knowing" a few people who play regularly adds a whole new level of fun to the game, whether it's full on clan vs clan battles or just messing around on a public server.

Seems like we're getting a few names on the list now, so shouldn't be too hard to team up for some of the battles that are required on Destiny.

Technically it's a "Group" at the moment, as I can't turn it into a "Clan" until I've played the game for the first time. Hopefully your memberships should all be upgraded at that point.

Looks like we're going to have a decent-sized clan!

Tesco Direct did themselves proud this morning - game arrived at 8.30am (post normally arrives at midday). Did take a while to do the 15Gb transfer to the hard drive though!

Managed to get a couple hours on with Pilchard this morning and ripped through the Earth missions. Well, more like Pilchard ripped through them and I watched, dying occassionally!

Your team all get the same XP for the missions though, so I'm now at Level 8 already!

Youngsy, what's the dynamic with squadding up? For example, if you and Pilchard are rampaging through the ranks is there any incentive for you to join me on lower rank missions? Or do I have to hope that randoms fancy joining me for a mission?

Maybe I am expected to play most of the missions solo? I only managed a couple of hours last night and probably won't get more time in until late next week so won't get my head around until everyone else has ranked up a lot.

BTW What class did everyone else choose? I went with Titan but also spent some time playing as Warlock.

Tackling missions with players with vastly different ranks is a bit tricky - your weapon power increases greatly with each rank, so a level 20 is going to whoop everything in sight if you play a Level 6 mission, for example, whilst a level 6 will find they need to empty entire magazines into enemies to kill them.

Not to say that a level 20 can't play the missions with a level 6, it's just that the level 6 may find it a bit boring and the level 20 a bit boring. I'm more than up for it though (and I'm level 20 ).

I'm a titan, btw.

That's "Normal" mode, what Moog and others are talking about is "Easy" mode!

I did quite a few missions last week on "Hard" mode, which is one to two levels above your level, but I did have Pilchard8 on my team and he is essentially Neo (from the Matrix) at FPS.

There's also "Impossible" mode, which is 3 or more levels above your level.

I found missions at your own level are hard, but possible, missions one level above are extremely tough and missions two levels above are all but impossible, without serious help from your team.

I have done a lot of the Bounty tasks on super easy mode though - romping through a level 8 patrol at level 20, or getting 20x multikills with a fusion gun on an easy level, is a quick way to level up.
