PH Forza 5 Kia Cee'd set build race night

Hi all, with the (hopefully) impending release of Project Cars and some requests I thought I'd see if enough people are interested to make it worth doing a set build race night or two.

The first race will be Saturday 14th March, lobby will open at 8:15pm for 8:30pm start. Track will be Silverstone GP 20 laps with 2 mandatory pit stops.

The car will be a Kia Cee'd which must be built as follows:

Engine conversion: 2.0 VVTi
Aspiration conversion: centrifugal supercharger

Aero: Forza aero front and rear

Tyres and rims: race tyres, front tyre width 255, rear tyre width 255, sport rim style volk TE37, front rim size 19", rear rim size 20"

Drivetrain: race clutch, race transmission, race driveline, race differential

Platform and handling: race brakes, race springs, race front and rear anti-roll bars, race roll cage, race weight reduction.

Engine: race intake, sport exhaust, race flywheel.

This should give you B534.

For those who can't be arsed to make a tune I've shared the tune I'll be using. Its called PH kia cup.

I ran 9 laps today and managed a 2:22.1xx. The car was very consistently close to that time though mate. Just bear in mind that you're a bit faster than me

My tuning is at best ropey, at worst undriveable but I've managed to build something that got into the low/mid 22s. Using Homer's tune I had a couple of laps around 2.21.5xx

I've got a few laps in today and I'm finding that its pretty consistent. There could be some tight racing on the night!!

Had a go at your tune homer and it,s a goodun as I cant tune myself. Was running low 22,s with a best of 21.7 when I got a sneaky 10 laps in earlier.

I seen you put in a 20.9 good lap just caught the end of it and you beat my lap in B class could not let that lie. So had some free time this morning and managed a clean 20.7 in your tune but would prefer more consistency as had a few 22+s, 23+s and the odd 24(buts that's down to me and not your tune) would be happy if I could get consist low 21,s.
And beat your B class time

Another thing, why do you always do a tune for these events but never take part?

You've doing it since Forza 4. If its about competing with me as a tuner I'm sure we can arrange something

Don't forget to practice using the pits!

The qualifying session will be 3 laps. The grid for the race will be a REVERSE GRID.

I know there might be complaints but this will really add to the fun

These include such wonders as the welsh word for Ambulance, always carry a tin of custard, never EVER let your wife catch you pissing in the kettle and more recently that the two best ways to resolve neighbourly arguments involves bumming their dog or hammering frozen sausages into their lawn!

Its not a no, I just wanted to consider what to do. I'll offer you a place for the first race but not your mates. I think the lobby will have at least 12 racers all of whom have been racing with me for years, if you fit in and race clean then I'll find space the week after for a couple of your mates.

Rob, there is actually an issue which occurs in Forza 5 which means that on your screen you can see Chris and it says 15 players on your screen BUT on his screen he cannot see you and it says 14 players.

I've had this myself in public lobbies and I've known lots of other people to suffer the same issue mate.

Saturday 4th April, 1hr Nordschliefe race.This will be approximately 6 laps with 2 pit stops.

Lobby open at 8:15pm, race start at 8:30pm. Just hope the lobby runs smoother than last week!

Hi guys, apologies for the lack of response this week as I've been busy moving my teenage son in with me.

I'd be interested to see whether you'd prefer to run Nordschliefe or Nordschliefe +GP on Saturday night.
