COD Advanced Warfare for a 12year old

He played COD on his Wii but now has an Xbox one and wants
Advanced Warfare. Commonsense Media suggest it's ok for 12year olds bit wondered what the PH consensus was. Are there options to turn down violence or turn off bad language?

His settings are that he can only multiplayer with people he knows.

And you are right, all his friends have it and he is left out. I must balance that with the violence and bad language on the game.

In the end I will have to make my own decision.

Well he has got it but we a limiting his playing to the campaigns and the 2 player when he has a friend in the house.

He says that if he plays on line, that he would mute the headsets so we will look at this in a while.
