Just a passing thought while looking around on GAME website earlier.

Is anyone else still underwhelmed by the games available for PS4/XB1?

Ive had PS1/2/3/4 all on release day as well as XB/360. I realise that it usually takes a few months for the devs to get to grips with the new tech available, which is fair enough. I just can't help feeling that this hasn't happened with PS4, and it is usually just set under the TV, on standby, very rarely getting used lately. I don't feel that there is the range of games that there used to be, I had hundreds of games on PSone and a good old stack for the 2/3, yet I've got 3 discs for PS4 and only a handful of downloaded games. Its not that I'm not as interested in gaming as i used to be either, ill happily sit on GTA V or BF4 for hours on end, but after a few days/couple of weeks i just can't sit and play the same games constantly.

No doubt others will think I'm wrong, but I can't be on my own in thinking this, surely?

The online graphics for battlefield astonish me - I still die as I look at the sun shining through trees etc..

If that F1 game I have seen advertised is the actual gameplay, that will be incredible. The Last of Us also has impressive graphics.

I am expecting great things from Fallout 4 too.
Ill give you that. Battlefield 4 does look incredible, and it is far and away my favourite game. (Whats your PSN? Chances are I probably play with you quite often TBH.)

F1 graphics are impressive, but they were impressive on each of the previous consoles, its just polished up every year so I just can't get 'excited' about it.

Last of Us was pretty impressive, but it is in reality just a polished PS3 game.

Battlefield
Project Cars
As I said above, no complaints about Battlefield at all.

However, after all the hype, and the build up, and 'look at this, look at this' and the continuous delays. I think Project Cars is quite frankly st. I had it preordered from day 1, when it was announced and was pretty excited about it TBH, but after being delayed for so long and still being pretty buggy after all the 'no were pushing it back to give you the best game possible with no bugs' bullst I traded it in after a couple of weeks and went back to Forza. This is all IMO of course, but tbh, 10/10 for effort. 5/10 for execution.

Hmmm Forza. Not sure a sim style game like P Cars is ever going to appeal if you like that style of car game.

I'll forgive a huge number of bugs when the handling model is how it is in P Cars, especially as these bugs get ironed out over time.
Think you may have a point.

I also like being able to use road cars, too. In fact i don't think I've ever even used one of the race cars, ever, on any Forza. hehe
