Think we need a PS4 devoted thread for this game so here we go.

The website/app companion is up and running now along with the first round of Base Command that I am finding quite fun in a simple kind of way.

Much as I liked Walker Assault on the beta my suspicion is that most of us will end up playing Supremacy.

Who else is getting at launch?

PSN is same as here.

So will this be the new PH clan game?.
Don't know. In my view matches didn't really work on bf4, for it to work on this we would need private servers for starters of which I have seen no word yet.

Still trying to get the last star on the last seige of battle command, suspect it may be impossible without some of the unlocks.

Did you need to download the beta for this?
Don't think so but can't be entirely sure as I did play the beta, but it did go down after the beta and only came online again last week. You earn credits for the main game so worth a look. I am accessing through the main website where my EA account is linked to my PSN account.

I’m not necessarily disagreeing either although I actually found more depth in the Beta the more I played it and loved the way on Walker Assault that, from my point of view, balance shifted over the duration of the beta from the Imperials to the Rebels. I too am not sure about reviews and obviously have an issue with any that claims the beta was balanced towards the Imperials!

My recollection of the previous Battlefront games was they lacked depth too but had great playability and if I get that here absolutely fine. As much as I would have loved a Star Wars Battlefield I think I can understand why they have gone with something different and agree with that decision. Personally I would say its still more Battlefield like than COD like. And we only have a year to wait for BF5 – allegedly!

BTW If you play on a server with thehangingjudge do remember that all of the vehicles are his! biggrin
Nah, vehicles in this are no good, so I will be the one sneeking up behind people bludgeoning them with a blaster. If you're not playing this at least there will be no one to steel my kills tongue out

So.......in a complete 180 I just bought it. I went out to get a pre beer sandwich ,saw it in sainburys and picked it up. I think it was a Jedi mind trick smile Will be on a for a bit tonight but that will be after work drinks. That's my excuse anyway.

I will mostly be playing Fallout but will be around for a few rounds of BF here and there. PSN ID is Matt-don.
Good man, you won't regret it, it's lots of fun.

Will add everyone later and let's see how many we can get on a server, always more fun killing a name you recognise!

How is it play wise compared to BF4?
The best review I can give it is that Havoc says its not bad – that was two days ago mind so maybe since then the hit detection/net code/glitching etc issues have struck and he’ll never buy a EA/DICE piece of XXXX again!

The more I play it, the more I’m enjoying it. They have done a good job of making the games very objective focused on the plus side there is always a lot of action, on the downside it can become a bit too much who has the fastest reactions rather than best gameplay. As someone alluded to on here before its almost like an entry level Battlefield, and I don’t think that’s a bad thing.

Cheers Judge. Are the aim/shoot/spot functions all the same as BF? Hopefully being late to the show I will have some catching up to do and if its similar then show be a bit easier - saying that I am still poor on BF4!
Aiming – don’t think there is any benefit to aiming down sight and I think there is benefit from being in third person rather than first. The only drawback with third person is that if you are behind cover its harder to judge if you have line of sight plus I have several times thrown a grenade against my cover thinking it would clear.

Shooting is the same, although different in vehicles.

No spotting.

The mini map is one of the big differences, it is split into zones and lights up with movement/firing, but easier to explain once we are in game.
