I recently visited the Nurburgring for the first time and I've really got the bug. I did four hugely enjoyable laps in my own car and then had a ride out in the Ring Taxi which showed me what's possible when you know the place. I'm not looking to try to set amazing times in my own car as such, but what held me up the most was not knowing whether the next crest obscured a lovely long straight and I could keep it nailed or a 90° left that would see me in the Armco.

As such I want a PS4 game that I can learn the track on. I appreciate that you don't experience the track, but something that I can learn where the corners are and arrive next time a bit more prepared. Which would be the best PS4 game for this?

Project Cars is probably your best bet.

Just be prepared to take each corner in real life at less than half the speed you do in the game! And remember that each time you crash in the game, in real life you'd have lost both your own car + ten grands worth of barriers. Then start thinking about the many bikers or 911 GT3's that could slip and crash on the oil you could have dropped... Because you'll probably be paying go fix those, too.

Lovely place hehe
Cheers guys. I'll have a look at Project Cars. I was acutely aware of my lack of insurance and the consequences. I was lucky it was a pretty quiet day when I was there. I tip-toed round my first couple of laps, but got faster as my confidence grew. I intend to go back later this year and just want a bit of experience on where a can go faster and where I need to back off.

So I can pick up Project Cars for £20 on Amazon, but can I dive straight into driving the ring? I've never been a fan of driving games and I can't be arsed investing many hours in a career until I can unlock a track. I just want to sit down and "drive" the ring until I get a better knowledge of which crest is which.

Thanks again. I'm not buying it for the gameplay so I'm not overly worried if it's crap with a controller. Just to learn the track. Order placed.
