It was officially announced yesterday by Codemasters and boy, it sounds bloody fantastic! I can't wait.
A few additions to this years career mode, which is 10 seasons long by the way!
You have full control of your car during safety cars, and you have to stick to certain deltas during VSC.
Custom numbers, custom avatar and custom helmets in career mode
You can change time of day! Singapore in the day or Monaco in early evening. It'll change sun position for when practice sessions are etc
Car upgrades in the season. Engine, aero, etc etc done properly. The system is brilliant.
Paddock and hospitality motor homes. Can interact. Pr agent and R&D engineer. JEFF IS BACK
Practice modes in career mode to earn xp for R&D
It'll give you in depth data from tyres. So it'll tell you how many laps, drop off period, how long they lasted. Times etc
So much more to be announced too.

No mention of whether it will be a buggy mess on release day. I bet those safety cars don't work as well as they say.
A seven season career was long enough. 10 is pointlessly long.
Custom helmets and stuff are nice but don't really add anything to the game for me. Same with all the paddock and PR stuff. They had that in the original game in 2010 and it was dull then - that's why they got rid of it.
Just get a decent multiplayer league going like Dirt Rally and they'll be onto a winner.
Most of the F1 community want the immersive career. I'm extremely happy about it. A seven season career was long enough. 10 is pointlessly long.

I run my own F1 league at the moment, website and everything for it. So as long as online is smooth, I'm happy.

They may want it but it doesn't make a good game. How many news conferences and team briefings will you sit through before you get bored? It won't be many.
For each race, I'll thoroughly go through most of the details etc. Bare in mind I'll be doing 100% races so I'm not one to get bored of this kind of immersive career stuff. Each to their own though mate, im sure there's a skip button hahaMoley RUFC said:
Hmmm, wonder if they've managed to sort some decent AI on this one. Not since Geoff Crammomds GP have we had a game that not only replicated real crashes and retirements but then allowed the player to watch them too.
True. The AI on 2015 is embarrassing. I had to be in a force India or something for it to be a challenge!el stovey said:
F1 2015 is 50% off on the xboxone, is it as bad as the reviews suggest? . It looks good on YouTube or twitch. I haven't enjoyed an f1 game since the original f1 on the ps1.
It has it's fair amount of bugs alone but they're a lot better now. I'd definitely recommend it. I'm still playing it a year after release. geeks said:
xbone?
Dunno just seemed a bit less involved/immersive can't quite put my finger on it but the game felt rushed and a backwards step. If I am honest 2014 felt similar, 2013 was the peak so far for me!

Oh yeah, definitely rushed. No immersion at all. But graphics and handling are fantastic.

Graphically it is great, but the gameplay with the logitech g920 is pretty poor, no FFB or feel to the handling etc it just doesn't pull you in. Controller is better for feel and feedback which should just never be the case IMO of course..
Haven't experienced it with a wheel so can't comment but it feels fantastic on a controller haha and I'm pretty quick on it without a wheelBlackpoolRock said:
I thought 2015 was tragically bad. Anyone who thought this was good obviously doesn't like driving games. I bought it played it once and it's lived in its box ever since......I hope 2016 is a major step up from that.
2015 is easily the best game in the series from a driving and handling point of view. Lack of features and lots of bugs messed it up, but racing online with friends is great. I don't think you can really form a realistic opinion after playing it once...
