Xbox one so sloooow

Ok so bought my little 9 year old boy an Xbox one for his birthday its the first games console he has had, after *issing about and giving microsoft every bit of info i have i finally get it registered.

It came with Fifa which after 6 *ucking hours has only down loaded 5 gb of 42 Gb by the time it has down loaded he will be going down the pub with his mates.

Is this normal? it says down load speed is 3.5mbs its currently wireless but I'm thinking to get an ethernet cable and hard wire it

Never had this trouble with the atari 2600

sorry i have no idea I'm not so good at all this stuff.

Have no problem down loading films / programs through sky or listening to music i guess its pretty much the same as it is now
