I'm going to be in the new gran tourismo

Im late 30's so why am I jumping up and down like a school boy at the fact that im going to be 3d modelled and be put into the crowd in the new gran tourismo game.

Seriously made my year this news has and its only February!!

Only the crowd you say, well what game have you been put in says I! Seriously though im interested to hear about the process if anyone else has done similar.

Mate of mine used to live in the same apartment block as one of the developers in Japan, im going over and will likely be there whilst it is being done so have been invited. Only issue is just two minutes before posting this it seems as though the date may be the day i arrive and my flight gets me in late afternoon. Apparently date not yet set in stone so heres hoping as very quickly gone froma cool thing im doing to a cool thing i nearly did.

I have project cars will take a look at your liveries tomorrow, did you do the full design or jus colour schemes and wording?

Yep look out for a fat chap with poor dress sense amid a load of japanese folk, in 4k no less!

Not sure which version of gt this is going to be. Apparently though the provisional date is the same date as i get to Japan and mines a fairly late flight. Date isnt set in stone so heres hoping it gets moved back a day or two but not too much as only over for six days this time as need to sort boring business stuff out.

Hopefully if i am in it ill get a free copy as not been that fussed about the last few versions to be honest

Right so it's all worked out and in approximately 5 hours i will be being video captured or whatever the proper term is and i will be put into the game!!!!

Any photos i can take i will and can post here along with the process if anyone is interested.

Almost makes up fa r the fact that i will be sat in meetings missing the first free practice at Melbourne GP

Had it done, and was able to take photos but unfortunately was asked not to post these or too many details about it.

It was gt7 sport which should be out this summer and was asked to take three different types of clothes for three different poses they used a rig of for cameras for the 3d head modelling and a succession of four photos at feet,knee,waist,head height around a 180 degree arc for the body sampling.

Was really quite interesting and was able to speak to them about a few things with regards to the series as a whole.

Should proof be needed i can post a pic of the envelope the payment came in which is logo'd!

Overall great experience and will definitely be driving around trying to find myself!

I believe they are doing the main day tomorrow and did us four today as a favour as we fly back tomorrow.

Just filled in the application for the beta. Last question where it says what would like to see i put, my wife and i in the crowd!!
