Anyone else getting this on the 31st?,
i loved fallout 1 & 2 great games, i amm a little worried that this one may not have the same feel as the old ones,
but hopefully it will be great.

if you have never played the first two i highly recommend them.

Hopefully it will have as much mod support as Morrowind and Oblivion as well. Some great mods for Morrowind especially the Wizard's isle one.

Graphics are poor and all the conversations are doing my head in a bit.
Are we playing the same game? It is stunning! I've had to stop a few times and just go 'woah'.
Indeed we are, but compared to Dead Space (and many others), Fallout 3 is not that good frown

I sort of noticed it when I was in Vault 101, but when I got outside, it just looked bad.

Put it this way, like the Orange Box, you can tell it is PC of origin, not a nice smooth polished made for console game.
Ah. well, I'm playing it on a PC. Games are better on PC wink
+1, i gave up on console gaming a long time ago

Nooooooooo - Dog Meat is dead. You may have been useless and disappeared to not return for an hour and then spontaneously died whilst waiting in safe location, but you were my virtual pet.
My thoughts are with you, I haven't met this dog character yet. Do you only get the one?

I got the declaration of independence last night from The National Archives, managed it all on my own too. Plasma rifle I got off harkness is the shizzle for melting people. Any good places to venture out and look for tonight when I get home from work?
Try and find Vault 106 its kind of creepy. i think its north east of Vault 106 near Little Big Town.

I'm stuck. I need to get permission to get trained in the power armour. I need to find a lab, someone called gunny / gurney and someone called lyon.

Help please.
You meet them later in the game when you get to the Citadel.

80 hit points? Pah, thats nothing. My Fatboy firing mini nukes is like 550 hit points or something.

Mole, Vault 106 is East of Vault 106? Not the best directions I have ever been given TBH. Is it worth visiting then?

Can you get back into Vault 101? I tried, and as I approached the alarms went of and the vault door swung shut, and then I went back later and it was still shut. Wondered if I could be the new overseer or something.....whistle
ah Vault 106 is north west of Vault 101 was not thinking whilst i was typing there., its worth a visit though. There is a Bobblehead that gives +10 to science in it.

Since the topic is back near the top, there is an all new Fallout game coming out next year called Fallout: New Vegas.

First details here:

Sounds good, however i hope it comes out for the PC as well. For me it just wouldnt feel right playing a Fallout game on a console for.

Ive been wanting to get back into Fallout 3, anyone know any good mods for it. i got the Settler mod which seems alright building your own village etc.

Nice. PC version I take it?
yes Makes screenshots so much easier. And with a decent PC and GPU (which I have) knocks the spots of XBox360 or PS/3
How does it knock spots off the console versions ?

Not saying it doesn't or that they all equal, just interested to know.

Cheers.
Mods, and mouse + keyboard made me get the PC version instead of the PS3 one.

dont exactly need a top of the range specced computer to run it either im running it on my old desktop just now as my laptop is buggered, its a Athlon 3500+, 2GB of RAM, Geforce 6800 128MB(which has to be downclocked to stop artifacts appearing due ot overheating)
Runs on medium settings with an ok view distance.

To be honest, i have found Fallout 3 to be a lot less replayable than the first 2 which ive both played through about 3 or 4 times.

Was a bit of a dissapointment for me frown.

Woo, finished Mothership Zeta. Quite liked it actually, the weapons are interesting and I love the Alien Epoxy!

But I think I might be done with FO3 now frown Level 30, all DLC and main game completed, 19 Bobbleheads (can't get the other), all my SPECIAL's at 9.

I've got some gaming time tonight, so it's either Metal Gear Solid 4 or Far Cry 2 I think. I will get COD:MW2 with Christmas vouchers, so I just need something to tide me by for a month.

Fallout 3 was fabulous, by far the most engrossing game I've played on any platform.
wil you be in for the Las Vegas... or are you done with all the fallout titles ?
God yeah, I can't wait for it. Any idea when it's due out? Fallout 3 was my introduction to that genre, and I perhaps rushed into it a bit much on my first time through, so I'll be taking it nice and easy with Las Vegas.
Go play Fallout 1 and 2!
