Right,
I guess this is the thread to argue about New Vegas and ask what the heck to do etc..
I'll start the ball rolling:
How the hell do I increase my HP? Is it JUST stimpaks on this one? I am using the purified water and nutfruit and odds and sods that used to work in Fallout 3 BUT despite it saying my HP will go up by say 2 it doesn't!?!??

The only thing I don't really like is that books now give you a temporary 20+ boost to a stat rather than a permenant 1+ point increase. I liked the idea that you read a book and learnt something.
You can find books like Lying, Congressional Style which gives a permanent increase.... Just did that!! Ah ok so the HP increases slowly after time then, fair enough.
Oh, and looking at some of the recipes you can cook up - fun!! Just made a powder bomb thingie...

I even used Hollow Point rounds and headshot some of the Powder Gangers and the fecker still didn't die within 3 shots !!t hot ammo for it,Am I the only one who seems to be getting attacked by 4-5 people at a time and getting massacred? And my word they can throw dynamite too!!

Yes it's 2271 or somewhere after that, I read a thing somewhere or other which mentioned 2271 I think, and yes, after a Nuclear War between USA and China (hence in F3 the Alaska segment and the chinese assault rifle!).I am still no-where near Vegas (lots of side quests to be getting on with!). I am not sure but is the map we have on the pip boy the WHOLE map of the game? It seems a little small to me?
ETA: Anyone know if Armour Piercing rounds kill those firken Rad Scorpions quicker?

And did one of them spin out of control? I was hoping to find it crashed somewhere.... But I do have a natty space suit.
And no, I didn't have enough skill to adjust that either, maybe when I play the game anew I will leave that quest until I have the skills to see where the rockets will go!!

Also, down in Primm, I seem to have picked up a mission which is something to do with taking a robot somewhere. When I follow the marker it takes me into a building where there is some form of broken robot lying on a bench, but it wont let me pick it up? Any thoughts?
You need to repair it, follow the dialogue on screen, you need 3x scrap metal, 2x sensor modules and 1x scrap electronics.I havent done it yet as I need one more scrap metal, I think you can then either take it to the scrapyard or have it as a companion as the guy in Primm says if you can fix it you can have it?

Yes it's quite helpful that you KNOW you will fail before opting for it so gives you the chance to stop asking questions etc... OR you KNOW you will succeed!!BTW - how excited am I to find .50 MG Ammo - Can't wait to find the toy that shoots those beasties...... And 25mm Grenades too (though my 40mm 'nades were a bit crap)..
Finally got me a Plasma Rifle, and the Scope on the Laser Rifle is rather cool for fairly long range shots.......

Yep.I have the uprated 357 pistol. I have the laser rifle scope and beam splitter for more damage. I have the extended mag and silencer for a varmint rifle. I have a scope for my new hunting rifle.
I think that's it right now... I just buy the bits from traders. THe scope on the laser rifle is superb fun though...
