Nikon D7000 or D5200

Hello Snappers,

Looking at a D7000 for a present, but then I noticed that the D5200 is coming out this week. Now I have looked both and specifications are long and I don't know if there is any major difference. Prices seems the same. They both looks good to me. Any thoughts?

Will be for a keen amateur, still and some video.

That's some good info. The present receiver all ready has some Nikon lens, so it has to be a Nikon.

I think I will stick with the D7000 choice as a present, but I will wait for a full DPREVIEW.

Good point about the motor drive, I don't know old the lens are. Think I'll probably go with the D7000.
