Well, no one else is going to do it, so I will!

Canon have finally announced the replacement for the 7D, and with 10fps, a much improved focus system and supposedly better high ISO (over the 7D) It's looking mighty tempting. Lower RRP than I thought it would be too.

I'm planning on chopping in a 1D3 for one, It will sit nicely next to my 5D3.

Main interest for me is longer reach over my 5d3 with longer lenses, should be better for birds.

I've seen a few comments about lack of 4k support on Canon's range. Can someone explain why it's so important?
It does exist in their range....you just have to spend a lot of cash!
I personally have no interest in 4k, but I can see why people might be peeved if they want to shoot video. There seem to be a few csc bodies that offer it.

If they had a new (important) body waiting in the wings, wouldn't you expect it to be released at Photokina?

Those that have one, are you using it alongside another body?

5D Mk3. Both bodies now have pretty much the same rear button layout which is a bonus.
Good! I have a 5D3 too, contemplating chopping in a 1D3 for the new 7. It'll be interesting to see how you get on with the two bodies.
