Hi,

I could do with getting my cameras insured and have done a search in this forum, and have come across recommendations for the likes of Photoguard, Cliik, Glover & Howe. But, before I start making enquiries, I just wanted to double check that they are all still recommended insurers, and whether there are others you could recommend?

Many thanks,

Darren

An interesting one - I can understand the separate insurance for professionals but for amateur - house insurance covers most equipment. What are you looking for that won't be covered under all risks house cover (OP not Gemm)
Good question. I currently have an OMD EM5 which, OK isn't a pro-spec camera and is easily replaceable, but is still a fair chunk of money to replace. But my main concern is my Leica M3 with 50mm Summicron, which I use quite often and would like to start taking it abroad on holiday. I have not attempted to enquire about getting both cameras covered under my house insurance, as I am not sure how easy it would be to get something specific like the Leica insured. And then theres the issue of getting it covered within generic travel insurance. That's why I'm considering specific camera insurance for these, but am happy to listen to advice & suggestions.
Thanks.
