Which Lens? Nikkon 50mm AF or 40mm AF-S DX?

So I have tow very similar lenses (see below), I can't decide which one to keep and am pretty new to photography, so my question to PH is, which lens should I keep & why?

Incidentally, this is not my only lens, Id like to keep the one that would be best for close-up/portrait photography, I also have a 18-140 & a 55-300mm lens for general and telephoto pictures.

f1.8 is a full two stops quicker than f2.8.

Nikon D7100 Camera so not full frame!
