October 2016 Photo Competition - Autumn Colours

This months competition is Autumn Colours. Pretty self explanatory - nice and topical up here I hope and any of our antipodean contributors can dig one out from last year . Let's see if we can get into double figures of entries this month!


Rules
The photos taken must be your own work
The competition will run from the first to the last day of the month.
The winner from the previous month decides on the topic for following month and judges it at the end of the month
Entries and discussion on this single thread please.
All entrants acknowledge that they may indeed win and that their adherence to convention ensures everyone else's continued fun.
Photos entered should be no bigger than 750 pixels wide for a landscape photo and 600 pixels high for a portrait photo due to the PH squash factor. Links to larger versions are permissible.

Hi All. Great work! Some really nice shots and a good entry so well done all - thanks for your contributions and please do keep going next month

Couldn't get it down to a top 3 so here's my top 5 ...

In fifth place - simple shot but well executed and lovely colours so bang on brief. Commended

In third place - lovely dream like feel to this shot. Would do well in any landscape comp. Bronze Medal!

In second place - very difficult to separate the final two (especially as I am big fan of Rob!) - this shot has magic light and colours. Great shot. Silver Medal!

And our winner is... Mike S with this cracker. Could not be more on brief and kudos for taking the time to collect the leaves and set up the shot. I would guess this has been commercially successful - I would certainly have it on my wall. Gold Medal!
