Along the lines of the random photo thread I'd like to propose we start a random panorama thread.

Ideally given the size of these things I'd like to propose the following.

You provide a small image which both complies with PH size recommendations for pics but also shows the overall picture.
You provide the file size of the full image (so slow speed users can decide if they really want to download multi megabit images).

I'll start with yesterdays trip to Byron Bay. Handheld.

6Mb in size

Folks - it's not exactly hard to figure out what size your large image is.

Download it yourself to your hard drive and then check the file size.

Take the number you get and put it into your post.

Oh oh.

Someone may have got the driver for the large 42" printer we've got on site and has been running off copies of site panoramas for anyone who wants one.

And then he's found the rolls of photo grade paper. laugh

Which my able assistant Geoff (in a Chad type pose) shows off the latest print run on the photo paper.

I've modified the original.

I do wish sometimes PH used normal formatting codes where you can embed pics as links.

Not so much a panorama but four images (each of a corner) put together to give a big picture.

Had it printed out here on the 46" printer and it looks great.

This is what it looks like.

And this is the big boy - 11Mb.

Nice to see they're offsetting the prize fund with entry fees smile

Made up of about 20 shots, handheld. It's big smile

If there's any interest I'll load the big boy image.

Does Photoshop make a better job of making a pano then with your 'dodgy' images?
