Exhaust Manifold Gaskets

Finally got round to buying some exhaust manifold gaskets (plus a few other things). Bit surprised to see they were just sheet alloy (or aluminium) with a small groove around the opening?

Do they sound normal?

Thanks Philpot, that's what I was expecting to see. Only problem is, I have had trouble finding somewhere that sells them.

I'll fit the ally ones and see how I get on. Can't be any worse than it is since I bought it. Previous owner got it MOT'd, and they gave an advisory on the leaking manifold gasket.

I would have expected a fail with a leak??

Can you advise where you got the gaskets in the photo from?
